To do a subject headings search in CINAHL, type your keyword in the search box and select Suggest Subject Terms.
Choose the subject heading:
Click on Search Database:
There are a couple different methods to do a search for multiple subject headings. The easiest way is to combine past searches with the Search History tool.
Example:
I'm looking for articles discussing bandages and bedsores. I first performed a subject headings search for bedsores (example in box above). Then I did a subject headings search for bandages. I combined the two searches by clicking on Search History and selecting the two searches I previously performed. Select Search with AND to find articles that discuss both topics.
