General Information

Ebooks can be accessed via the Vanguard University Library catalog (VANCAT) or in one of the library's ebook databases. The library provides access to three ebook databases:

EBook Central
Access over 100,000 ebooks covering a wide range of academic disciplines.
EBSCO ebooks
Assortment of fiction and non-fiction ebooks.
JSTOR
Multidisciplinary database with scholarly journals, ebooks, reviews, and pamphlets. Use Journal Filter to narrow down by discipline/subject.

Limitations

Depending on the ebook and database, access to a specific title may be limited. Some ebooks only allow one, two or three user(s) to access the ebook at one time while other ebooks have unlimited, simultaneous access, meaning several people can view a book at one time.

Here are examples of a one user ebook and an ebook with unlimited, simultaneous access:

All JSTOR ebooks have unlimited access, meaning there are no limitations to simultaneous use.
