Article Linking: JSTOR

Guide on how to access full-text articles from off campus with a permanent link.

Finding the link in an email

If you emailed yourself the citation, the stable URL will be located above the abstract:

If you are off campus, this link will NOT take you to the article. You MUST attach the pre-proxy URL (https://vanguard.idm.oclc.org/login?url= )  to the beginning of the stable URL. The link should look like this:

https://vanguard.idm.oclc.org/login?url=http://www.jstor.org/stable/25115246

Finding the link in the article record

You can also find the stable URL in the article record.

In the search results, click on the article title. A few lines underneath the title, you will see the stable URL:

If you are off campus, the stable URL will NOT link back to the article. You MUST add the pre-proxy URL (https://vanguard.idm.oclc.org/login?url= ) to the beginning of the stable URL. The link should look like this:

https://vanguard.idm.oclc.org/login?url=http://www.jstor.org/stable/25115246
