Review on how to search nursing databases using subject headings. Other advanced search techniques are also covered.

PubMed Tutorial

PubMed is a free resource provided by the United States National Library of Medicine. Use PubMed to search for citations and access free articles. Just type in your keywords in the search box and hit Search. The database automatically maps your keywords to MESH (medical subject headings) terms.

If you find articles in PubMed that interests you, check the Library Journal Portal to see if the Library provides access to that article. Remember to search for the journal title and NOT the article title. Refer to the Searching for journals tab for a refresher on using the Journal Portal.
